Welcome to Lightwalk!

Lightwalk is a blog that aims to encourage Christians to grow in their walk with Christ, seek fellowship and community with other believers in the Church, and celebrate salvation which can only be found in Jesus.

The name “lightwalk” was taken from 1 John 1:7 which says: “If we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin,” (CSB). I believe that if we strive to walk in the light, have fellowship, and cling to the One who cleanses us from all sin, we will become more joyful and loving Christians.

For most of the writings in the website, I will use the Christian Standard Bible (CSB) and the English Standard Version (ESV). These two translations have been the easiest for me to read while still holding true to the ancient writings of Scripture. I will also use quotes from reputable authors such as Elisabeth Elliot, Charles Spurgeon, A.W. Tozer, C.S Lewis, and countless others in some of my writings.

Throughout the website, you can find a Bible study series (see Calming the Storm Series in the Bible Studies drop-down menu above), articles about discipleship (Influence on Young People), as well as articles about my personal life (The Weight of Singleness). In addition to these topics, I have started doing book reviews (see my first book review on Jackie Hill Perry’s Gay Girl, Good God here).

You can browse the website by using the above menu or by using the search bar to the right to search for something specific. If you want to get in contact with me, click the Contact button in the menu above and leave your name and email address along with your question/comment/concern and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Above all, I pray that you would seek the Lord through His Word and use this website as an encouragement, not as a substitution. I am a sinful human whose writings are prone to error but the Bible is flawless and satisfies the hunger of those who seek to understand it.

Grace and peace,
